Hair transplant costs at MHR are based on graft numbers, not hair numbers. We do this because the ‘graft number’ is an exact science, whereas ‘hair number’ is almost always an estimate. This means that our “per graft” quotation is far more transparent and accurate than a “per hair” quotation.
A Hair Transplant could use the FUE method, the FUT Method, or a combination of both. The cost typically averages from R35 000 up and rarely exceeds R120 000.

Fees for the FUE or Punch Method hair transplantation are structured on a price per graft. Each graft can contain 1 to 5 hairs depending on the density of the donor area and the patient’s specific needs. The cost per graft is R40 including VAT and your surgeon will discuss how many grafts are suited to your area of concern. Most customers start at 1,000 graphs and above for the FUE procedure.
